Over the years, I've learned that the best solutions often start with a conversation. As I've talked with neighbors, business owners, parents, and community members throughout Eagan, many of the same questions come up about our city's future. I'm running because Eagan has given so much to my family, and I believe it's important to give back. After 25 years of living here, raising our children, coaching youth sports, and running a small business, I care deeply about our community and where it's headed.
Eagan is a great city, but we face important decisions about growth, affordability, infrastructure, and quality of life. I want to bring a practical, independent voice to those conversations and help ensure Eagan remains a place where families, businesses, and neighborhoods can thrive.
My campaign is built around three ideas: thoughtful change, fresh voices in city government, and maintaining a strong, connected community. That means planning growth carefully, keeping residents informed and involved in decisions, supporting local businesses, investing in safe and walkable neighborhoods, and making sure Eagan remains affordable and welcoming for people at every stage of life.
I am new to politics and I am running because I believe local government works best with fresh ideas that bring people together. As a contractor and small business owner, I've spent my career solving problems, managing budgets, and working with people who don't always agree. I bring a practical perspective and a commitment to thoughtful decision-making.
Technology and economic development are important, but large data centers raise legitimate questions about energy use, water consumption, noise, traffic, and long-term land use.
I support taking a thoughtful, fact-based approach before approving major projects. Pausing to reconsider zoning rules and learn more about data center impact was an important step in understanding how to bring the future to Eagan without harm.
Residents deserve transparency, clear environmental standards, and confidence that any development provides meaningful community benefits. Growth should work for Eagan residents, not happen to them.
Small businesses are a big part of what gives Eagan its character. As a business owner myself, I understand the challenges entrepreneurs face. I want Eagan to remain a city where local businesses can grow and succeed, while also attracting investment that strengthens our economy and creates opportunities for residents.
Families, seniors, and small businesses are all feeling pressure from rising costs. I believe the city should continue investing in the services that make Eagan a great place to live, but we also need to be disciplined about spending and transparent about where taxpayer dollars are going.
Every budget decision should answer a simple question: does this provide real value to residents?
Eagan should be a place where young families can buy their first home, seniors can stay in the community they love, and working people can afford to live near where they work.
